Today I went to the Tuscaloosa Southern Christian Writer's Conference. I had a blast. I heard Angela Hunt and Gilbert Morris speak. They were really good. I was a little disappointed though because the panel discussion dealt mostly with questions on publishing. The answers for these questions painted a bleak picture for future writers. I know that they were being honest and "helpful", but I really just wanted to hear about things that I could do. Not reasons to give up hope. Okay too negative...so I will change direction. Angela was a wonderful encouragement to me. She talked about following God's leading and having a close relationship to Him and He will lead us. Very inspiring. Gilbert Morris talked about bringing your characters to life. He was informative and very humourous. He put a smile on our face as well as our hearts! I am really looking forward to going next year and I am ready to get started writing... starting tomorrow. :)
