Okay, I'm going to attempt to write this without sounding politically biased.
I really hate politics. I will go out and vote on Tuesday. I vote according to issues. I have a view on issues and I will try to vote for the candidate that best supports my views. Isn't that what voting all about?
A coworker once asked me if I would vote for a particular female politician for president. I told her "no". She looked at me with a little sneer and asked "why". I said that the female politician held completely opposite views politically and morally than I do. Why would I vote for her just because she was a woman?
I also don't understand the campaigning without the issues. Why can't candidates just come out in the media and say "I support this..." , "I don't support this..." and then "This is why..."? Instead it's like this "You should vote for Mike because his opponent is a poo-poo head". Or "This is Mike, He is a nice guy. This is his opponent and he has done this bad thing and this bad thing etc. Vote for Mike, the nice guy."
And what is it with the name calling? These grown men and women are suppose to be role models for my kids? "Johnny if you eat your veggies and are polite you can grow up and be a Senator or President. But don't be a stupid idiot, okay?"
In the words of Ricky Ricardo "Aye, Aye, Aye"

No arguement with any of the above--today the candidate with the most money to spend wins no matter what they say or how negative they get.[SAD][MAD][THUMBDOWN]

It's a shame. Too bad political ads couldn't be outlawed. Thanks for the comment!
