Meet Tigg
Tigg is my dog. I am a dog/cat/bird person. My husband claims to be more of a cat person, with the exception of Tigg. He claims that Tigg is just like a cat.
Tigg is what I call the brown-red dog. Since we live in Alabama, Tigg is sometimes called "the red clay dog". He is part hound, and part something else. I think it's Lab, but my hubby says he is part daschund. I think he is too tall to be daschund. Besides I can't see how a bloodhound and a daschund could have an intimate relationship (to be subtle). His soulful brown eyes reach out and melt your heart or will make you laugh. He has quite the forlorn look about him. He is a mid-size dog (sounds like I'm describing a car), but his legs seem like they are 10 feet long when I try to carry him to his bath. And they stick straight out, trying to catch the door frame as I manuever my way in.
Tigg loves all kinds for food, with the exception of dog food. He will eat it, but not lovingly. Basically his dog food just sustains his life. He would much rather have hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, etc. He will eat the discarded pizza crust from our son. He will even try a veggie, if it is mixed with meat. He doesn't like olives.
Tigg spends most of his day "chillaxin". My husband insists that Tigg likes smooth jazz. I think he likes talk radio. When he goes for a walk, he loves to meet squirrels. But the squirrels don't seem very interested in socializing with the red clay dog. His relationship with cats probably needs some help, as he was never a good host to Sir Orange.
Tigg will always be the numero uno dog in our hearts.
